This project was part of a larger redesign of the venue screen. Conducting user testing showed that we addressed some of the issues from the previous version. However, the new design still didn't make it easy for users to distinguish between different products.
The venue screen in the app is crucial for users to compare attractions or venues after they've found what they're interested in. However, users struggle to easily differentiate between similar products after narrowing down their choices based on titles, images, and key details.
We’ve noticed that users often don’t explore the individual product pages to check the 'what's included' sections, making it harder for them to make informed decisions. It can also be challenging for users to distinguish between similar products.
Develop an MVP that allows customers to easily compare products and make informed decisions.
We developed a comparison feature to help customers quickly and easily distinguish between similar products. This feature enables users to directly compare key details side by side, allowing them to make more informed decisions without the need to navigate through multiple screens and directly initiate checkout.
- 10% of users who book something in the App use the compare feature
- 39% of users convert from the Venue screen when using the Compare feature, compared to just 16% without it
